misery...

Post by gravirozo »

hi

the all started on friday... first my monitor wsa flashing a short and gave the last screenshot... and the router made a weird movement... so saturday morning i got an another monitor in the local computerstore...
ok i am very patient, so i started to fix what got messed... next the mouse with laser got messed so again a weird movement... still i'm very patient :-)
again store, new mouse....
remark... even i use dos, the windows just run somehow in the back... when i drive the router i restart the computer in dosmode...

start over this time the toolpath was messy, and wiped out a few couple letter...
so today morning i just bought the vcarve pro5.....
the toolpath, i created for this sign, by editing the g code kept several hour, i just don't want to scare ya with the time :-))

after these, i just restarted from the drawing...
with vcarve pro it was close 3 min!!! :-)
it's all

Hello gravirozo,

I'm sorry to read your post about the mishaps that started on Friday. At least all's well that ends well right? It is good to see you had a good ending after getting VcarvePro!
Great looking plaque you are making!
Best regards,

gravirozo,
That plaque looks great.
What font did you use and how tall are the letters?
It looks like Maple to me and the letters look strong

hi

thanls... the plate is pine... the letters are arial regular,... i have choosed this because too many letters, and a fancy type looks "confusing" if they were too many in one block..... and the text looks organized this way...
the bit i have choosed 15 deg and the tip only 0.25 mm ... the letters are 9.5 mm tall
but i have to void this kind of work, because it takes time like a twice or three times larger... the most time gone with the filling between letters with the angled bit....

Not wanting to be a pedantic so and so...there appears to be a couple of spelling mistakes:

ESTATE CHAUFFEUR

CUMBERLAND & FALMOUTH FORSIDE PORTLAND, MAINE

17 MORE YEARS THEIR CHAUFFEUR

HTH :)

No worries Viktor.

English is my first language and I'm still a terrible speller. It's become a family joke. I just say my talents shine in other areas.
