I've been using the Interactive Trim on a quite a few of vectors without issue, but there's a section of the attached vector I can't seem to be able to trim without deleting the whole thing, and l'm curious why. I've identified the specific part below:
So, why can't I "snip" the line to make this two separate vectors, please?
The Vector Validator shows there is an "intersection issue", but I'm not sure how this affects the Interactive Trim.

One way is to move the node of the line intersecting to the right of the arrow a bit so it becomes an intersection and then trim.
The other way is to remove that line with node editing and then tidy up with the trim tool if needed.
Sometimes, especially with curves, the internal workings mean that a line that looks like it should signify a stopping doesn't when the slight changes to the curves that trimming can cause are taken into account.

Trim can be fickle. If you click on the yellow area...
...then it works fine:
