Hi,
Very new to Vectric software, but am working towards my first project (after a few tests!).
I'm trying to write text along a curve and, although I understand the principle, there's a shadow on the image after I preview the toolpaths, and I'm wondering what this indicates and if it will show in the cut.
Thank you
What will this mean..?

I think that some of those "shadows" are where the bit can't reach. Try adding an appropriate sized clearance bit in the toolpath. Also, try setting your preview resolution a little higher. It's found under the toolpath menu /simulation quality).

Thanks, Steve. Increasing the preview resolution showed the cut much cleaner and without the 'shadows'.SteveNelson46 wrote: ↑Mon May 23, 2022 8:58 pmI think that some of those "shadows" are where the bit can't reach. As usual with Vectric products there are at least 3 different ways to find a solution. I'm a fan of the tool Join/Close by Moving End Points
Mark Lindsay also has a good video on the topic.
