What happened to the resolution when trying to preview my tool paths? They used to be pretty clear, but now they are very low res and very hard to view. This seemed to happen after I just upgraded to 10.509.
While on the subject of the new rev., while trying to practice with the array toolpath option I notice when I try to offset by "gap" the distance I specify is programmed from the center of on toolpath to the center of the other. I would have thought a 'gap' would be material left behind as a skeleton.
What am I doing wrong?

If you have the file set to Double Sided and the View-Light Follows Viewer box not checked, the 3D view can be dark and difficult to see details.
Your observation about the gap appears to be correct. I looked at arraying toolpaths for circle vectors profiled Inside, Outside, and On. If I used a .25" end mill, and specified a .25 gap, the resulting cuts touched each other. If I used Irregular objects, rectangles enclosing the paths would touch each other.

Re: What am I doing wrong?
My issue with the screen is not the darkness but the very low resolution the 3d view is giving me. Shallow toolpaths are hard to see if at all. Other toolpaths just are not clear like zooming too far in on a picture.

Oh by the way I deal with a lot of good judgement.

Re: What am I doing wrong?
Have you looked at the Preview Simulation Quality on the Toolpaths menu? I'd say you're running at the lowest resolution by that picture.
It can also be affected by how big the toolpath is in comparison to the material size itself. If you have a small hole in an 8'x4' sheet it will look pixelated when you zoom in even at the higher resolutions.
