Text in 3D View

Post by sdpowell »

I'm new to VCarve Desktop and can't seem to get text to model in the 3D View. Is there something special I have to do to do this. So far I type in the text but it does not show up in the 3D View. Help!!!!!

In 3D view you have to Toolpath it first, and then preview that toolpath....Program doesn't know what bit, or perhaps boundary will be used.
I hope that is what you're asking.

As Scott said, 2D, such as text, won't show up in the 3D view until it is toolpath/carved from a toolpath. Once again asking these questions without details only leaves us assuming. Post your vcarve file and ask, it will much easier and less confusing to assist. I am still just a beginner, but I am willing to assist in basics when I can.
