1/2" BN 2- flute cutting, 3/4" plywood using .022 Chip Load = 180ipm @ 15,000rpm
1/4" BN 2- Flute cutter, 3/4" plywood using .010 chip load = 200ipm @ 10,000rpm

Seems a pretty fast feed rate for a Shark type machine.

I agree, but I was not told which CNC manufacturer. I run a Maverick, which I would turn up to 300ipm, the sweet spot.

Hi I just bought a new piranha CNC fx and I did opt for the laser attachment. However, other than the booklet that comes with the laser I'm not finding much support videos for the laser. I know it is capable of actually creating a laser photo quality sketch. Any info on creating vectors for the uploaded photo or design would be awesome. Thanks, Jon

I am new to cnc, have done several carves using easel, but would like to learn to download files and import into vcarve, learn how to carve them.

I am using vcarve pro and when I design a part to be cut out, occasionally it will cut 1 line on the inside of the line and then the next line is on the outside.
How do I fix that?

The vectors are open. If they're meant to be closed then you can use the join tools to close them. If they are meant to be open then you can change the start node on the vectors that are cutting the other side or create two toolpaths with one inside and one outside.

Question regarding End User License Agreement....

I am using the current version of Aspire and in the clipart is a 3d model that is just perfect on a product I make. I have only prototyped a few and have not sold or given away any of these with the clipart model. I don't want to be that guy and I highly respect copyright laws. With that said, I have searched the internet for a similar model that I could purchase and use for resale on my product. No luck. I have considered hiring someone to make me a similar model but don't want to be that guy that does a few tweeks and stands by the "artistic expression" nonsense justification.

Went to the Design & Make site and go figure...the same exact model is available for purchase. Having read the EULA on their site, it appears to me that I can purchase the model I want to use and apply it to my product for resale. Legalese is not my chosen language so I am asking for clarification on this.

I can't use the free model in the clipart for resale on a product but I can purchase the exact same model on Design & Make and sell my product freely?

Thanks for any clarification and, by the way, cost is irrelevant as long as I stay within legal bounds.

I'd take it as gospel, that D&M stuff is original and safe to use on any project for sale.
The other is probably a copy with a few tweaks to beat countries weak on copyright laws...if not an exact copy :x

Spent probably 8 hours online in the last few days searching for "Critter" 3D models, and it's just downright discouraging to see the outright theft of good models with a price tag under $2USD.
Found an Owl model I spent $28 bucks for at CGTraders...and it was either under $5 or given away for free with a donation to an Eastern European country for an orphanage or such

Wish there was some kind of centralized directory of sources to authenticate origin!!
But at $2, you KNOW somebody is playing fast and loose with someone else's work
Go D&M and rest easy:)
