Hi All,
I currently use Cut2D with a Roland desktop milling machine - I find it very easy to use and intuitive.
We also have an old Datron (from 1999) which runs under DOS and which uses Datron's MCR format. It won't take G-Code like Datron's newer machines. Unfortunately an upgrade is out of the question for us. We would like to get it running again but the original CAM software is not user friendly etc. If we could use Cut2D instead it would hugely streamline our processes.
Is there a post-processor available for the MCR format and if so could you please post/email me a copy?
Many thanks and regards,
David

Re: Post-Processor for Datron's MCR Format?
Hello,
I have a similar problem.
Is there any possibility of making a postprocessor for Datron - .mcr?

Is it possible to actually load code directly onto those machines? An issue with a lot of the older machines is the only way to load code onto them is via the software they came with and they often don't accept 3rd party files.
If no-one has a post processor ready to go you would need to supply examples of the code format most likely for anyone to be able to help.
