Hi guys

That was one of the first lithographs I made and the first one in a light box. I believe that particular litho is lighted with a floresent lamp I found at Home depot. I believe I centered the lamp on the back panel and used a few small craft screws to attach it to the back panel. Very simple. I have since started to use LED lights to back lite the litho panels.

The Light box is comprised of a top and bottom plate that are notched in a 1/4 inch to acept the litho panel and the 4 corner posts. If I can find the file I will post it, I used Vcarve Pro to cut out the top and bottom plates, the rest I just used my table saw and router table.

This being one of my first projects I had a few issues with it.
1. I used 1/4 corian but I blieve I only cut the image about 1/8 thick. The light I used in this light box does not truely show all the detail in the Litho. This can be over come by cutting a little deeper into the corian and by using a brighter lamp or LED's.

2. The way I designed the light box, I had to finish all the wood in pieces and then asemble the box with the litho panels. I would recomend designing the box so that the litho panels could be installed from the back and use some small clips to hold the panels in place. In my design, once I glued the top on, the panels were in there to stay.

All in all I was pleased with the way it looked. It made a nice wedding gift.

I am glad you all like it, if you need more information where to get LED light I can post that information.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the info on the light box. It's great.
I could use the info on which LED's and where to get them.
Thanks again, Homer :D
