Lithophane I made using photo vcarve. I used a .0625 ball nose bit carving .15 deep.

I create them quite frequently on my 3d printer.

Exact same method except my 3d printer is additive in that it builds the lithophane in layers.frank taylor wrote:what method do you use to 3d print a Lithophane have not heard of that one ????
While the CNC is subtractive and cuts the material down in layers.
One plus with the 3d printed lithophanes is I have a ton of colors to chose from.

I have not tried a lithophane in Vcarve as yet. Been looking at getting photo Vcarve for that reason though..
