Amazing! I am much impressed. What, if I dare ask, is your coloring technique? I have done some work with colored epoxy, black and sepia for instance, to achieve photo realistic results in gray scale but your work is a whole other level of achievement.

Simply stunning. Well done.
I too am wondering how you coloured the engravings.

Re: And thease are my photocarves in wood & corian
I’ll guess an inkjet (reversed) color printout was transferred over the shallow carving. Thin layer of gesso, or glue, or liquitex, or water-based poly, or other medium applied over the carve to adhere the printout and allowed to dry. Then the paper wetted and “rolled off” by hand, leaving the color behind on the wood/Corian carve.
Just guessing, though! Could be some kind of variation of the procedure.
Color Lithophanes made for backlighting (carved into that or a similar material) employ different techniques. A color printout (not reversed) is affixed behind the carve and reveal the color when the light is shown through both the printout and the carving.

Those are indeed very impressive. Hate to repeat others, but it would be nice if you could share your painting technique. My hand painting skills are usually a failure in details. But I just can't believe those would have been hand painted. Perhaps what Michael guessed. But I am not sure I understand that technique either. Also, perhaps you could share your settings. Was this done in the stand-alone photocarve, or vcarve's toolpath?

If the guy hasn't said nothing in half a year and in fact has 1 post in 3 years, don't think he is going to - I think he has posted before with a different nym, same MO
