Here's a model of St Francis I just completed it is 9.5x14.5
Used 1/4"bn for rough and 1/8" for final pass
took 4 1/2 hours

I realize this was posted a quiet a while a go, but can what kind of wood is that carving made of and what did you finish it with?

The wood is maple and I believe I put on two coats of finish then van dyke brown glaze over top and another coat of finsih.
