I have a 7m color photo of a building (Mormon Temple) I need to carve into a slab of wood. I do not have much experience in this area so I’m looking for some suggestions on how best to go about the task. I have tried to look on the forum, but nothing pops out. I’m using Aspire for my work. I have the import down and then using the Modeling tool Create a Component but after that I’m out of experience on how to proceed. Should I use the Trace Bitmap in this process?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

All depends on the look you're going for, the quality of the original artwork and the material.
Basically it's artistic choices. You could create a relief model, a photovcarve of it, a v-carve of it or a simple profile etch. As I say all depends on what your desired look is.
You should only be creating a component if you want to do a relief model. For all the other options you need vectors not a model.
