cut time
Just before I save a toolpath I check how much time it will take to cut. the speed that I am cutting at matches the the speed of the program clock but the actual time it takes to cut the project is way longer. I cut with a 10 -12% stepover - Jeff

Re: cut time
Yes , what you see is correct.
The software does not take into account the Acceleration or deceleration of the toolpath.

Re: cut time
Not knowing Cut3D can you adjust the Scale Factor to get it closer.
Bear in mind there is always going to be some discrepancy.

Re: cut time
Now you've cut a job and you have an idea of how much longer it takes you can change the scale factor (as shown in the attached picture) to increase the estimated time so it's closer. Make sure you set the rapid rate to match what your control software is set to as well. It will never match exactly for every type of job as there are too many details about the machine that the software doesn't know but it will get you a lot closer. Generally I only use the estimates as relative times to see if there are big differences between different tools and techniques.
