Machinist files
After downloading a file from Design and Make modify in 3D Machinist how does an individual add it to a library?

Re: Machinist files
What do you mean by the term library?
Re: Machinist files
I've never downloaded and tried the machinist free software. But I always thought that CUT2D and Vcarve are superior to that free program. Am I wrong? Does the machinist software have capabilities that our purchased software doesn't? Just curious.

Re: Machinist files
3D machinist is a cut down Cut3D so was very useful in the days before VCarve allowed 3D models to be cut. You could toolpath in machinist and then import the toolpath into VCarve. Of course with Cut2D it's still the only way to machine a 3D model along with 2D toolpaths.
If all you want to do is to machine the D&M models without any 2D elements then it's a no-cost option to the others.

Re: Machinist files
You import 3D machinist toolpathed files via the File/Import menu on Cut2D/VCarve/Aspire.Stephen50 wrote:Thanks everyone for your input I drew a blank on importing.
