3D oddity

Post by aggiedan97 »

I have a curious issue where I've designed a set of 5 valleys 1/2" deep and 10" long. (see attached)
The roughing pass went as expected but the finishing pass only cut on the left side of the valley and the very bottom of the trough. The right side of the valley didn't get touched.

Attached Image:
Top 1/2 of attached shows both sides.
Bottom 1/2 shows the details of each side of the trough. Left is smooth; right is still rough

Thoughts?

I can upload the gcode and/or the vcarve file.

Really need to see the VCarve file.

By the way you've posted in the wrong section. This section is for the Cut3D software rather than VCarve so you may not get the level of response you would from posting in the VCarve section.
