Objects outside the set material size

Post by DougE »

Will objects outside the material size be cut? SEE ATTACHED IMAGE-- note the 4 posts are outside the material boundary*black lines)

I see that the posts are calculated, but, when you run the preview it doesn't show that they are machined.

(I don't want the machine running outside the set material size that I set. The posts are NOT to be machined and are reference guides for the 3d model only. (they cannot be eliminated)

Thank you for your help and time.

Hi
Any tool paths calculated will be sent to the machine. This is commonly required when doing a cut out pass. The simulation will only show the result of tool paths within the defined material area.
