Slicing model

Post by petr »

Hi,

I´m working about 3 years with Vcarve and now I´m trying Cut3D. Now only trial version.

I didn´t find how to slice my model. I saw the videos with tutorials. But I still don´t find answer.

Model has thickness 142 mm ( 5.6 inches)

I would like make this from 2 parts of wood 75 mm (3 inches) high.

When I choose machining on top and bottom side, and thickness of slice is 75 mm (3 inches). Only 2 files are generated. But I need 4 parts.

I know that I must first Cut3D buy, and then work, bud I need to know if is it possible to make this part.

Thanks for any answers.

Best Peter

Hi Peter
When you choose your slice size, if you choose 2.7 inches cut3d will generate four files, two tops and two bottoms. You can then machine these out of your 3" material.
I hope that helps.
