text on a curve

text on a curve
I made a text... I made a circle... I cut the circle in half... I selected the text and "Shift key" and selected "wrap text along a curve".... The window opened to the right place but It wasn't highlighted... Tried three separate times ... no luck...? I must be missing something.... I have done this a few times.... no problem.... but it just isn't co operating for me....

It works fine for me... Are you sure you have both selected? I'm using Aspire V11.504.
