That fish looks very good.

It carved out very nice, and the paint job is excellent.

I wish I had just one artistic bone in my body, where I could paint something that it looks as good as that.

Joe,

That is very impressive!

From the angle of the picture it almost looks two sided, or at least the tails curves outwards. That and the paint job really make the carving.

Thanks for posting.

Thank you for the great replies, and Gene, for the run time and bit and raster, I had already carved a 23" long version of it. The airbrushed one was only 10.5" long, the new carving is the same set up but with a longer run time. Sorry I didn't save the original run times from the smaller carving. The rough bit is 1/4" spiral up cut, and the finish is a 1/8" ball tip from beckwithdecor.com The set ups are posted in the attachments, jpeg. Oh and the paints are automotive type with 2 coats of clear uerethane to seal everything up.

Gene, I forgot to enclude the new rough run time was about 2 hours and the finish run time was just under 4 hours.

Aspire, and was carved on the Shark pro with a limited bit movement of 24" X 24" X 4", and it works great for desk top size.

I just started looking around for something with larger cut capabilities, the joe'scnc.com looked like it is able to be what ever size you want it to be. I mean you have to build it yourself.
