Introducing our latest Hack of the Week Model Project

Hack of the Week No.253

https://store.designandmake.com/shop/product/20830

We hope you will enjoy this CNC project inspired by cricket and the fast bowling legends who made the popular sport into a nail-biting phenomena.

This Hack is a perfect gift for your sporting family or friends who play cricket or spectate, as a door plaque for your grandchildren who are budding cricketers, or memorabilia for your cricket team’s clubhouse. With easy to customize VCarve text and 3D models, you can either reproduce this already assembled layout, or adapt the four individual models into your own nostalgic souvenir. Simply add your own personal message or even duplicate and mirror existing models into different orientations using the mirror tool in Aspire!

Remember those giddy summer days at the clubhouse watching your local cricket teams battling it out flesh and bone with the batsman pitched against the bowler defending their stumps, body and pride to see who can take the most wickets. Cricket was invented in Britain during Saxon or Norman times and survived as a children’s game for many generations until becoming a serious adult sport from the 17th century, expanding worldwide from 1859 when the first ever international cricket game was played between the USA and Canada. Originally derived from Middle Dutch ‘krick’ meaning stick, cricket was played on sheep-grazed land reflected in the Safari Grasslands model. All 4 models represent instantly recognizable cricket themes including the Cricket Bowler model synonymous with the likes of Andy Roberts from the West Indies who was indicted into the US Cricket Hall of Fame for his fast bowl technique topping 99.1 mph!

If this layout isn’t quite what you want to use, there are many other cricket and sport themed models available so look through our Design and Make library or even add some from your own stock. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

4 models, 1 assembled layout, 1 project sheet. All are offered in .V3M format for VCarve Pro 8, VCarve Desktop or Aspire.

Remember, all models in this pack can be cut as individual models or combined with other models in your library.
