Excellent work Jim!

Looks like the new setup is running great :)

What size is the plaque - looks around 24" wide - and what was the cutting time?

Tony

Very very nice James. The carved part is excellent but the flat plane its raised from is seemingly flawless. Was there much finishing on the background & did you cut the edge on he machine also? What were the details of the cut, bit etc? Great 3D work! I'm copying you ;-)

the file is stretched to 12" tall 20" wide the boat is .625 deep. 1/8" taper bit at 10% stepover, the wood is yellow heart and i did cut the profile out with vcarve! the ptofile was then run with an ogee (standard router) light brush sanding with a 180 pad and shot with one coat of laquer. will post photo when i can install (down with flu)

thanks for your compliments

jim
