Marathon Medal display

Post by Tyrah »

I downloaded the marathon hack for a birthday present for my daughter who runs track. I posted it on my Tyrahwoods Facebook page and have made others for other sports. I put a copy of a Big Dam Bridge 100 medal on the bicycle one and I copied a picture from a t-shirt for the swimming one. The DELMDTA is for "Don't Ever Let Me Do That Again" which is what my daughter told me after she ran her first marathon. As you can see apparently I'm a bad father because she has run several since while completing med school and becoming Dr. Daughter. Yes I'm proud! You can adjust the size and orientation so I cant tell you how long they take. I use a 1/4 inch end mill to rough and this last time I used a 1/4 " ball nose to finish and it saved a lot of time from the tapered ball nose I used the first time. I have evolved from using wood knobs to metal hooks because they are cheaper and smaller so you can put on more medals. I may have an order to make one for a boy/Eagle scout soon.
