Something caught my eye in the video, but I didn't understand what happened.

I understand Text On A Curve. I use it all the time, but I use it with a dialog box and a curve to select etc.

However, in the video around 3:10 the text is shown selected with that green node showing just like in Text On A Curve. Then the text "Merry Christmas 2023" gets manipulated just like there's a curve selected, but there's no dialog box or curve showing.

I missed something along the way, and I can't find it in the "User Manual" by searching.

Hi Tex,

The project video is showing the Arc Text feature. Todd made a video awhile back and narrates that feature at around the 18:00 minute mark. Here is the link:

Ok, that's called "Distort Object" on my Vcarve Pro. I've used that from the dialog box. He doesn't do that either.

I the video that you link at 17:43 he breaks his text into two lines and clicks on one of the lines. Now you see the two green handles.

My program never shows those two green handles. There must be a setting that I don't have set in my options.

I think he is just using the "Edit Text Spacing and Curve" tool

You are absolutely correct. I just didn't notice that he still had the text spacing tool activated. I was assuming he had quit using it when he separated his text into two lines. Thanks Steve.

Also, I had been using the Edit Text Spacing tool so long that I forgot that the tool also said "and Curve."
