Re: Sandblast texture component

You can use a pic of heavy wood grain and turn it into a component, or use the stock wood textures in the included 3D clip art.

Re: Vector Validator

It's going to be difficult to V-carve this as the eagle is a hodge podge of vectors.
Profile on vectors gives marginal results. A better original would help you a lot.

Re: 3D milling entire part

Do you have the "Boundary Vector Offset" set to a hair over the radius of your tool?

Re: z zero plate

To me - using paper is something I have done for decades
I use a piece of aluminum beer can--0.004" is the same as a piece of copy paper.

Re: Nesting

You create one item using toolpaths automatically associated to layers for each of the toolpaths. You then nest and use the recalculate all to create all the toolpaths for the items on that sheet.
OK, looks like layers is the key.
Thanks Adrian, Will give that a try.

Re: Nesting

the ability to semi-automatically (one button press) calculate toolpaths from those sheets
If I make a single design with multiple toolpaths and then make six copies of that item, how do I get identical toolpaths applied to each?
Tried looking in Aspire's help, but couldn't find anything.

Re: 3d NC topo map problem

A couple things to try. In the finish tool path add a "Boundary Offset" of at least the radius of your finish tool, or try .2" You may need more to clear out Pamlico sound. If V-carve has the option, create a boundary vector from selected component (the whole model of NC). And use that for your prof...

If you're getting this, you selected the rails in the wrong order.

Re: Aircraft Nose

The vector is a trimmed ellipse.
Don't know why you get the dimple. Zoom way in on the tiny center circle to make sure the start node is at the same o'clock position as the larger circle. Also that both circles have the rails running in the same direction.

Re: 3d NC topo map problem

Don't know why you're getting the reversed river beds. I tried the .stl file and it seems fine. You may want to apply smoothing and reduce Z so the mountains aren't so exaggerated. Give us a link to your file.

Re: 3d Model Finishing Pass

I highlighted the vector of the 3d shapes in the array and ran a 3d model finishing pass and that did not work, it ran the entire model.
If they are closed vectors, running the finish pass again should only cut inside those vectors.
