mike try to make the inner oval a very little smaller... i mean offset it with a larger amount.. like originally offseted 0.75 then use 0.76 or 0.77 ... these numbers only examples... it migth works... my guessing is, tool diameter too close to the sweeping profile radius.. so enlarging the sweeping...

er 11 is an industrial standard... there are no coarse or finer thread...
if you buy an er nut, collet, wrench or anything associated with er # , they are must be match to each other...
it is like morse taper, or chucks has the jacobs taper... they are standard..

rest of pitures for solidworks and other modelerprograms... all similar program can extract shells of a solid model... on shells edges also can be extracted... so both program can make simple vectors of conturs.. another way simply subtract the ready model of a larger block, and extracting this surf...

eliot here i try to give some explanation how you can solve this issue on your own, without expenses cad like solidworks or inventor.. the iges format can be imported in the free cad and exported as stl... so if you have only iges format you can convert it... http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/fr...

eliot file formats despite their names are different, they are basically same... all of them triangulated, or some of them has quads... but as result, they all of them same... if model not too complex, you can give a try to model directly in aspire... for search, on the vectric site.. www vectric co...
