Re: 'Centreline' vectors

Also, you want to keep in mind that you cannot join the endpoint of a vector to the middle of another vector. You can only join end point to end point.

Re: Different start depth on a pocket cut using same path results in larger cutout

You have a pocket allowance of .05" set on the rough toolpath so it will leave .05" for the finishing toolpath to remove. This is taken from the help filel: Pocket Allowance This option is used to leave material on the inside of the pocket for the Profile Pass to clean-up. This is often very useful ...

Select everything that you want to resize and then click on the resize button (pic). Set the width and height or just set one of them and leave the "Link XY" button checked and everything selected will scale proportionately.

Re: Improving the path in a grid

Your grid is on layer 1. Lock that layer so it cant be modified. Create another layer and make it active. Select the line drawing tool and, starting in the lower left corner, trace over your grid with a continuous line across the bottom, move up one line on your grid and continue the line across to ...

Re: Exlude vector section from pocket toolpath

Virtually all of your vectors are duplicates. From the edit menu select "Selection" then "select all duplicate vectors" and then either move them to another layer and turn the visibility off or press delete to delete them.

Re: Catch All Tray question

Like this?

Create a pocket the same depth as the Eagle using the perimeter of the pocket and the outline of the eagle vectors. Then create a finish toolpath for the Eagle using the vector around the Eagle.

Re: Radios shape patio door molding

Add a tail to the profile with a length that is at least 1/2 the diameter of the bit you intend to use. You can also use the boundary offset setting in the moulding toolpath setup but adding a tail works better in most cases.

Re: out of round pockets

While the machine is turned off, grab the head/spindle assembly and try to man-handle or move it. Don't over-do it. If it moves even slightly then you have slop somewhere in the X or Y drive assembly.
