Can you post the finished project?

I am having difficulty even cutting this, not knowing what to do with the top and bottom, let alone putting this in a dish; are we not back to only allowing one .stl file per job in VCarve? Would you be willing to put the acorn and leaf about 60mm long into a 90mm diameter dish please? I'm not sure...

You didn't say what the problem is you're having.

The chicken (bluebird) usually works pretty good.

Nick I have Aspire, but IIRC VC only allows one .stl in the design.
Here is just the leaf + acorn. I guess you can make your own dish.
As far as legal--my design; do what you wish with it.

There is a single rope link in the library. Copy along edge vector. Add to component height if too flat.

Looks good. What did you find the problem to be?

You'll get those kind of corners if the bit angle is more acute than what you specify in the tools. Just because a bit is labeled 60 deg doesn't make it so--could be 57 or 58. I think that's what you're seeing.

Maybe just rotate 45 deg. Then if the problem is still at 12 o'clock, there is no part of the model at that spot, so you get a full carve.

Some more ideas for you. I made these for a girl in my daughter-in-laws' spec ed class. First is a "cheat sheet" for sighted people. Second is large scale Braille made with Air Soft pellets imbedded in dimples. (Note the "W" doesn't follow the pattern as "W" didn't exist for Mssr. Braille.) Last two...
