I think I was misunderstanding adding the photo-v-carve feature to V10 and in my excitement thought all of PVC was in there.
I do like what was added and I have begun playing around with it.
The the ballnose works well in PVC but wouldn't in the V10 feature.

Re: Photo-V-Carve in V10
The two that I noticed were that you can only select V-bits and not ballnose bits, also you can't change the line space to go below 100%.
I do like some of the addition of the selected vectors option though. That looks like it will be fun to play with.

Photo-V-Carve in V10
I was very pleased to see that Photo-V-Carve was added into V10. The stand alone PVC software has become one of my favorite programs to use in conjunction with Vcarve. I watched the video about it before upgrading and even saw one of my projects in the video, which I as surprised but pleased to see....

Re: Melamine
I really enjoy doing things like this with PVC, I do it slightly differently than those directions though but it's fun to try different settings and techniques to see how they turn out.

Re: Eagle picture
Hi, I am just kinda getting the hang of it or at least figuring out different things with PVC. The first thing that I do is setting the background color, if the object I want to focus on is dark then I make the background white and black if it is a brightly colored object. I believe PVC works off th...

Hi,
My parents are part of a local arts council and they have art shows about once a month. So I started taking their photographs that they enter and doing a version in wood with PVC. Here's my mother's eagle and my version in wood.

Re: design and make files
Hi, If you just got your Shark make sure you go to the Next Wave website and update your pendant and control software. It might have the updated versions if you just got it but if it doesn't it can cause it to just move in one direction while cutting and not stop. I updated in the beginning of this ...

Thank you guys for liking it!
The picture was unedited. But I had to make sure it was a sunny day when I took it so the blue sky stood out between the trees. I have had to edit some other pictures to get the contrast though.

Re: Photocarve & Shark laser
Hi,
The Laser module from next wave has its own software for using the laser with lasering photographs. I've only tested it a couple times. Most of my lasering is done with Vcarve, but I do more graphics and not photos.

My appreciation to Vectric
I'm constantly having minor, and sometimes major, issues with my projects... But I am having such a great time using this software and I am loving the Design and Make website as well. The list of things I want to make is constantly growing and I will never have enough time to make everything but I a...
