Re: First Walking Stick
Great job! QUESTION: How do you make the base of the stick turn down to exactly 1 inch? Does one plan so that the height of all of the ornamentation is something like 0.25 in height and use the 'Model Position In Material' to get the total diameter? If you create your own rounding toolpath as a com...

First Walking Stick
I just finished my first walking stick on the rotary. I had quite a bit of fun. Lots of fun challenges like: Drilling the center on a 1-inch diameter stick. Like: Putting a flat and a centered hole on a 1-1/2 inch sphere, epoxying a 1/4-20 bolt into the top of the staff mounting the ball with a thre...

My equipment survived my first rotary project
I just completed my first rotary project.... boy, did I learn a lot. I started with a 3.5-inch square piece of 4x4. I knew there was a good chance I'd destroy it. First, a major problem with rounding. My first test with a 2x2 and a 1/4 inch bit went OK. Except, the bit kept drilling into the end of ...

Re: Rounding Toolpath Tool Settings
That's what I was beginning to think. I made multiple changes with the Toolpath Edit, down to very small amounts, and they didn't seem to change the resulting carve. I assume the changes entered into the tool database will have effect in the Toolpath. I can edit the database before I generate the Ro...

Rounding Toolpath Tool Settings
I got my rotary up and running. I completed a couple of small tests on font placement and adding 3D clips. I'm now running a chunk of 4x4 for a test on a larger project. I ran into a problem of losing steps (I think) with a 0.5 inch downcut. I then changed the toolpath and reran. My question is this...

I don't see a file. Turn and spin only gives you half the profile.

Re: Turned Pattern x leg error
You don't need the far left vector, only the legs. Also the legs appear to be way too long for your model.

There is a PhotoVcarve in both Aspire and as a separate product. They are not the same. You can download a free trial of both and try them.
