Sounds like a Confused Machine Controller --- Stooges or Marx Brothers?
Not Funny Though but it does sound like there may be confusion between the Post Processor created code and how the controller interprets the actions needed.

Re: Segmented 2-sided cut
When You imported the Model did you check the box that says "Create Both Sides"?
*** I know that this is from V-Carve Pro but this should also be in Aspire (or something to that affect) even after Segmenting Model.
Probably Wrong But .............

Re: Tapered table leg in VCarvePro
Creating a Model and importing into V-Carve would probably be the best option in V-Carve Pro. It could be accomplished using the Moulding Toolpath but I believe that it would require additional cleanup to accomplish a true round shape. Here are two images I have done quickly of a tapered Leg. Model ...

Re: Tapered table leg in VCarvePro
Posting an image or a drawing here on the Forum would definitely be a big help. Kinda hard to visualize exactly what it is you are describing. I can only imagine maybe something like a pool cue only bigger in diameter.

Re: Scratches & Edge Issues
Leaning on the Machine Bed/Table would tend to pull the materail away from the bit Unless of Course for the first 80% of carve the OP may have been leaning on the Bed/Table then decided to leave which returned the Bed/Table to a relaxed state thereby carving a little deeper in some places on the car...

Re: how to open a vcarve vector
You also can select the vector, once highlighted, mouse over the segment you want to remove and hit the shortcut "D" key to remove the segment between the nodes. This also works if you hold the mouse over any of the nodes. Use "I" to insert a node also. There is a page in the help file that shows a...

Still find it puzzling That most of the job cut ok but then it was a 15+ hr job running on a shark with a Dewalt trim router. John In Bold...

Re: Box Creator Ajustments
The box creator gadget does some odd things when using the finger/square joint option that catches people out a lot. It creates two sets of vectors but only one is actually used for the toolpath but it includes "tails" to make the fillets in the corners. That makes it pretty hard to adjust the vect...
