Re: Can't Generate Toolpath Error

I get this quite frequently. I change the lines to curves. Select the line then - Fit Curves to Vector/ Bezier Curves. This usually fixes the problem. I usually get this error after making the 'Make profile toolpath' then going back to fix problems, usually size. After resizing or other fix, I go ba...

Re: Error opening a file

Thanks for the replys I saved it as normal - to the hard drive. I tried to open it both by double click from file location, and from the file open function in Aspire. This wasn't the first time I opened and saved the file. I had worked on it for awhile and then went back to open it the next day and ...

Error opening a file

I am getting this error while trying to open a file. I have Aspire 2.015; This is the same program that the file was generated in, saved in but failed to open. I sent it off to Vectric a couple of weeks ago, but have not heard back from them and thought maybe someone here would know what this is or/...

Re: File Failed to Open - Code 3

Tim I have version 2.015..or so it says in the help file. Other files I made the same day work fine. I tried to open from the file - double click and from inside Aspire with the same results. I did reboot, and nothing changed. Only thing I can think of is that the file became corupted, but how and w...

File Failed to Open - Code 3

I have a file I generated in Aspire 2.015. Saved it as normal, but now I am trying to open it and I get an error message.

[File Failed to open
("****file name)
Code 3
File was written by version Aspire 2.015

This has happened a couple of times. Any idea what it is? How to fix it?

Thanks Butch

Re: Hole size problem

Bruce I like to check the VU "Unit Values" when I suspect this problem. I zero at the table, then make a mark (X) at 96,48 and then Z=0 to measure where the center of the bit is at, to assure it is correct. Then the center of the table, then the other corners. If these are on, then you variables are...

Aspire resolution

I have noticed the detail in Aspire is less than Cut3D. I am carving the elk from Vectric. When I used VCarve Pro I had much better detail on the carvings than I am getting with Aspire. Is there any suggestions how I can get the detail back with Aspire? thks

Elk Carving

Here is a picture of the elk, using a picture of bark to hide the outline.
I do have a question...Is anyone else noticing a loss of detail using Aspire from Cut3D detail?

Re: Clock in the Works

That is very nice. I was thinking of building a HD or HOG clock, hoping to sell to some of the Harley shops and clubs around here and Rapid City. But what you made was much better than what I was thinking of. This turned out very good. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Aspire user manual?

I printed mine out. I use a HP Photosmart C6280 printer. It doesn't take that much ink. Hard to judge, as I do so many photos, but for general printing I use normal or fast draft. Took a $10 three hole punch and $3.00 folder and made a printed manual. Even if I figure .05 cents per page (doubt it co...
