Re: Rotary G code
It is not at all odd to me that any CAM program would have more lines of code than a hand written program. I have seen that many many times. To take an Aspire program written for a generic gcode machine and comvert it to SHP or whatever would be a daunting task to do it manually - (by hand) Is it po...

Re: Help with 3D CARVE
Wow - that is a cool project. Definately a challange.
For a first time project in Aspire?
I gotta give you credit for deciding on something so ambitious.
I would find it a challange.

Re: ER 11 vs ER 20 Colletes.
Ted yes the collets are able to clamp on "some" size range. 11-12mm collet has a 1mm range - that is just a tad over 1/32 inch. Yes - in all reality - acceptable. BUT exact size is just better as the inside diameter of the collet is made to make full contact with the outside diameter of the collet. ...

Re: ER 11 vs ER 20 Colletes.
Randall - really good video. Great information. All viewers should watch the Haas video. I have have had several Haas machines in my career. Very nice machines and I highly recommend Haas as the best USA made machine on a low to medium budget. At around $75,000 to $200,000 they may be outside of the...

Re: ER 11 vs ER 20 Colletes.
The ER-11 will limit you to a 1/4 shank. The ER-20 will allow you to use a 1/2 shank ER-32 will get you up to a 3/4 shank The actual collet comes in many varieties of precision, sizes and quality It is BEST PRACTICE to use the correct collet for the cutter shank 6mm is .236 - Do NOT use a 1/4 collet...

Re: Mach3 problem with toolpath
I use Mach 3 as well. I also post out several toolpaths into one file. I sometimes set different RPM for the toolpaths I have never had the problem that you describe. Even different RPM come across as expected. I don't think the issue is in Vectric. Possibly in Mach3 settings but I don't know where ...
