Re: Another "inlay won't quite fit" thread - engraving bit
Time to be a bit Socratic: in the first image if you changed the flat depth to 0.13 from 0.11 must you change any of the values in the second image? If your answer is yes then which one(s) and why?

To file away under: Cat, skinning of, more than one way
You could use the "V-Carve / Engraving Toolpath" with just the ball end cutter.

Re: Sheets help
It won't be putting all the toolpaths on the active sheet. Toolpaths don't move around. Apparently they can. I just tried the following in trial v11.006 of VCarve: created 3 sheets created objects on sheets 1 & 2 created profile toolpath (Profile 1) on sheet 1 created two profile toolpaths (Profile...

That seems to be covered on pages 30-31 of the Onefinity owner’s manual PDF file. If it it were my machine I’d go for the WiFi route but USB stick would be simpler.

Re: Weave object resize
Effectively the clip-art objects are bitmaps (pictures). There's no underlying "structure" curves, surfaces, etc.) that would allow a portion to be kept unscaled when the clip-art element is scaled. Imagine taking a "selfie". imaging trying to scale that up without your nose width changing.

Re: Back to the old "Post-Base" problem/error
From what I've seen comparing the PP at the NextWave site with the "CNCShark-USB Arcs" in the VCarve V11 trial version that I have there are 3 basic differences between them: at the beginning of the g-code after it sets metric mode and absolute positioning the NextWave file calls a "G64 P.01" which ...

Re: Squiggly job path
Not being able to see the Pocket toolpath but only the "3D Finish 2" I don't fully know what you're trying to accomplish. Here's something that is made with one Pocket toolpath. pocket only.jpg Adding a draft to the wall would be fairly easy to do but would necessitate creating extra vectors and...

A comparison of the old and new g-code files would verify arcs support.

Re: where did my cutters go???
Did you notice the missing bits while creating a toolpath? Was that toolpath, perhaps, a “VCarve / Engraving” toolpath?
Be aware that version 11 will not display bits that are not relevant for the toolpath being created.

Re: Squiggly job path
Note that if the object is straight-sided with no fillets or round-overs at the bottom or top of the walls that this can all be effected by 2D toolpaths (Profile and Pocket) eliminating squiggles, sewing-machine verticals, etc.

Re: Drilling Toolpath Plunge Rate
I just want a nice even plunge rate with about .2 material removed on each peck with bit retracting above the material. The setting that you have enabled: "Retract above the height of the previous pass" will not remove the tool fully from the hole. So, eventually the down cutting area of the compre...

Any progress in diagnosing why the gear maker int gadget produces two different results with the same input values depending on whether the job is in mm or in inches? See my post on that discrepency.

Re: Problems after Vcarve pro 11 upgrade
Try creating a simple file with one "oval" in v10.5 and one in v11 then post the following 4 things:
- the v10.5 CRV file
- the v11.0 CRV file
- the g-code file produced from v10.5 that you find working "silky smooth"
- the g-code file produced from v11.0 that you find "jerking and shuddering"
