Issue in VCarve 9.015 when editing text that is at 180deg
I'm still a relatively new user of VCarvePro, so excuse if this is my user error. I'm working on a 2 sided model. On the reverse face I have positioned some text which I had to rotate at 180deg inorder for the text to be correct when both sides are machined. If I try to edit the text now, the change...

Re: New Drag Knife
website says that this item has been discontinued?
but no replacement part is available on the website.
what went wrong with it? ....I've been thinking about investing in a drag knife for a little while.
does anyone have any recommendations please?

Re: Importing a Guitar Shape
Create new model option....define size of material, origin etc. Make sure you hit ok.
Then File>>Import option.
There are a range of import options available to you depending on what you have to bring in.
If you have not defined the model dimensions first, then the import option is limited.

Re: Stopping and re-starting a 8 hour + design and make proj
I had similar issues on my ELU860 machine. When I knew I had a long running job, I often made a copy of the g code file that I would edit to make a part 1 and part2 file split at a particular line number, so that I could run to ensure I was in control of the machining. I have since replaced all of t...

Re: Brand New nebie needs help
The video for plate production is very good. I have played with this option before, and watching the video reinforced earlier understandings. I also picked up on some of the key short cuts. Very useful. Thanks

Re: Texture toolbox offset spacing issue
Yes, I have used the same approach to the earlier reply. Offset from the text a fraction more than 1/2 the tool diameter.

Re: new post of my most recent successes with photo Vcarve
First, I was not aware of the PhotoVcarve product, so am interested to learn and see more. A future purchase perhaps. Secondly, when I look at the Vectric buy page, this is the description that is provided...."PhotoVCarve has been developed to allow CNC machines to carve and engrave using an expensi...

Re: What keeps you from using your rotary axis?
After some problems with the controls and motors on my ECU860, I've now built a 3 axis retro fit kit - using uprated and separate controls/drivers, power supplies and closed loop motors. Everything has been designed to allow me to add a 4th axis in the near future. I've even added the 4th axis wirin...

Tips for circular swirl pattern on aluminium and stainless
Hello, I'm thinking that the CNC machine should be able to machine some fine overlapping circular swirl pattern on aluminium or stainless sheet. The pattern is made up of finely machined circles with a 50% overlap with the previous. This will be used to make a custom dashboard and door cappings in a...

Very interested.
Is this the Classic or BMW model?
I've been looking around for a late Classic file for some while.....with the Sportspack arches!

Re: Job Size Exceeds Limits
I loaded your file in to VCarvePro.
No issues with the file.
But the workpiece is set at 3in x 3in.
And you can clearly see that the design exceeds the Left and Right boundaries.
See the attached screenshot.
Either scale down your model to fit inside or increase the workpiece sizing accordingly.

Re: Gallery Of Machines
I'm a relatively new forum user. A short while ago I had issues with the control on my ELU860 machine. At the time I needed another ELU860 user to confirm a few details from their own machine. I wanted to send a message to a small number of other forum users who I found through a forum search. But t...
