Re: WW2 veteran memorial help needed.

WII ACK-ACK ANNIE.jpg I mocked up a lithophane for grins . To get the resolution I used ballnose setting of 0.031 ( ball nose setting but would actually use Vbit) 11x10 lithophane would take 24 hours or more 22x20 lithophane 0.125 little faster ... I would find better picture of ACK-ACK ANNIE this ...

Re: Lithopane setup

I think you would need to pocket as thin as the white stripe on the shirt 0.04 to get the clouds to be white. you could profile cut ... http://forum.vectric.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=7828&hilit=marilyn http://www.vectric.com/cool-stuff/gallery/data/images2/elephant.jpg http://forum.vectric.com/downlo...

Re: Lithopane setup

I would would create the lithophane out of the picture with background already included. One trick is to print picture on slide material same exact size of lithophane set it directly behind lithophane then light it :) http://forum.vectric.com/viewtopic.php?t=2824 http://forum.vectric.com/viewtopic.p...

Re: Color Detail

To get the depth of field/3d effect I find it best on .25 corian to go to cut depth of .21. bottom line is you want 0.04 to get the whites to really show up. Of course you create something that can break easy( so thin) also make sure your corian is .25 or zero from the table making sure you leave 0....
