Re: New and need help
Quit all software. Turn the machine off. Turn the computer off. Wait a couple of minutes. Turn everything back on. If that does not work then, most likely, there is a machine problem.

I have spent most of the morning playing and experimenting with your fretboard maker. What a terrific program!!! It is so cool and I will start using it in my day to day work. Thanks so much!

Inlay Toolpath and pockets
I think I know how to do this but I would like some confirmation from anyone who is doing this. I want to use the inlay toolpath. The toolpath requires that you use the same bit for the male and female parts. So, I want to cut out the male inlay (pearl) with a .023” bit. Now I need to cut the female...

Re: aspire 4.5
More likely than not the file you received was created in a pirated copy of 4.5. Legitimate copies of the software will not open them. They can only be opened with the pirated copy!

Re: 2 Sided and Thickness of material
That does not work as it cuts the depth in half!

Re: 2 Sided and Thickness of material
Steve I understand that. What I am trying to do is to put a bevel on both sides. When I did the two rail sweep I made the vector "sweeping across th span 1.75" tall. Therefore each side is looking at 1.75". What I do not understand is, if I did them in separate one sided files they would work fine b...

2 Sided and Thickness of material
I am trying to create a guitar body with a bevel on both sides.Thickness of the blank is 1.75". I can 2 rail sweep the top side bevel with no problem. I can sweep the back side and create the bevel but when I go to create a tool path for the back side the program tells me that my cuts exceed the mat...

Re: FREEBIE FILE ARE MUCH BIGGER THAN MY WORKAREA.
As to how deep to cut, it depends on your hold down method. If you are using (like I use) the blue masking tape-superglue method it is much easier. I determined that the two layers of blue masking tape and superglue (do a search on this forum for the method) is almost exactly .008". Therefore, I set...

I am sorry but I cannot help you. Your file was created with a trial version of Aspire. It can only be read by the computer on which it was created. So I cannot open it. Sorry......

Re: I need help
Thanks for the suggestions. Let me explain what I am trying to do. The 5/8" holes on either side of the cut out portion are designed to allow me to glue in 5/8" bushings on either side of the jig. Because the sides of the headstock are not 90 degrees to the jig the holes must be cut at an angle. Oth...

I need help
I am trying to cut a hole in the side of a piece of material that is 5/8" wide x .73" deep. The bottom of the hole must have the 5/8" radius. I have tried doing this with a 2 rail sweep and using a 1/2" ball nose bit. It cuts the hole short and does not work. I suspect that this is because it needs ...
