Wrapping up another year making cool stuff with my CNC table and Aspire. I am just extra thankful this year to the Vectric / Aspire team for a product that helps me take an idea to reality so easily. 5 years of your product helping my brain make cool stuff.
Merry Christmas.

fixing a tree with a fairy castle
Here is a fun project for your ASpire designers. Find a tree with a scar in the bark. Take a picture of the scar, and measure the width and height of the scar. Drag the picture into Aspire and trace the edge of the scar so you have a scar shaped line drawing in node editing. Drag the drawing to the ...

Re: Aspire wine and music project
I will try post some pictures later that show the piece right out of the CNC and being assembled. there is definitely some hand work to be done.

Aspire wine and music project
I have done a similar piece in a larger scale, but wanted to try this in a smaller (24" ) model so I could play with painting it.

Alaskan critter carving
My son showed up yesterday and wanted some help finishing a "going away" plaque for a fellow US Marshal. the guy had worked at the Army Guard, the State Fish and Game and now the marshals. They had patches for all his service locations, but wanted a carved Sheep horn art piece to reflect some Alaska...

aspire looking up
after years of no problems with Aspire it has now started locking up every time I am using 3 D models. I have emailed Vectric but have no response. The system gives me a lock up message and than shuts down Aspire. Sometimes the file is saved, but all work is lost back to any prior save I may have do...

Re: pins on a new model
I'm sure I will never use the model in that scale, it just allows me to play with details at that scale that I can't play with at 25 % of that.
I will look in to the drop box thing and figure out how to send it to you.... after I reduce it and see if the problem persists..

Re: pins on a new model
interesting. this was build from a JPEG and creating vectors, than using the vectors in Aspire to generate shapes. so no chance that a Bitmap contributed. I did in fact try use the smoothing tool over the entire model to no effect. The model is very large, 70" tall 60" wide. the carving test path wa...

pins on a new model
I am working on a new deer model and it is covered in tall pin shaped "trees" all over the model. Any one have any idea what causes this? The pictures from when I review the tool path. the first pictures show hundreds of pins. this is from when I carved using an offset tool path the third picture wa...

Re: Solid Doors from Scratch with CNC.
Jane. As a Novice Door builder who loves to work with 3 D Modeling and my CNC I have build more than a few solid doors, and have discovered the big problems that are inherent to solid doors. It may be worth saying what is going unsaid here. Solid doors bend, warp, and move after you create them. Tha...
