I have Aspire.
Short answer is - no
Long answer is hmmmm - yeah - sorta
It's a lot of work
There are tutorials that you can watch
I suppose there are some work arounds - but I don't know about them.
Mike Mezalik has some tutorials
I would not buy it for the reason you are asking about.

Re: Unable to get clean V Carved Text
That cutter does not look like a cutter that would do a good of carving text.
Has that cutter cut text sucessfully on other jobs?
I am not advocating Tools Today or Amana, but this bit or something similar would be a better choice.

Re: 2.5 model on 1.5” material endmill recommendations
adze - I agree with you. I have done it myself, but I would prefer a long flute length (CEL) As long as the chips have somewhere to evacuate the gullets there should not be a problem. Most often there is evacuation beside the cutter when cutting on the perifery or behind the cutter when cutting a sl...

Re: Amana 46054 Endmill Feed Rate
Sure, that works. Speeds and Feeds are simple Speeds and Feeds are complicated If I say yes that is good and you use that to plunge 1/2 deep into something really hard and you snap the cutter, then my acknowledgement is bad. If I say yes that is good and you use that to plunge 1/8 deep into somethin...

Re: Surface Mapping (Centroid)
Acorn, I am glad you are making this post. I bought the Acorn BOB and sotware with probe and tool touch. One of my concerns was to have th eability to probe a surface and import to Aspire. I did some testing before I bought Acorn. YES - a lot of money!! I am really interested in your final conclusio...

Re: Sheets Tiling and Datum Glitch? What am I doing wrong?
I have experienced a similar issue. I cannot explain what the issue was but I was using several sheets, tiling, different datums. I didn't post the issue because I could not clearly explain what was happening. I abandoned the logic I was using and recreated a stand alone project to get past the issu...

Re: Amana 46286 Tappered Ball Nose Feeds and Speeds
Carbide suggested I use their CAD/Cam whose was Carbide Pro. Same result! Definitely a machine issue. Something is loose or binding. I agree. The issue is duplicated with 2 different CAM's. It is clear proof that is is NOT with Vectric or Carbide Therefore it MUST be machine or machine control issu...

I am so glad you posted on this thread. Yours came out so much better that mine. One thing I notice about yours compared to mine i...

Re: Is it progressive
I think too that the models are created with not so fine a detail. On the apple above there is just no fine detail. I would use a 1/2 Ball or so. Small TBN on that would be a waste and not look as good. I am trying to get the really fine detail on a greenman like a wizard with all sorts of detail on...
