Re: cutting a half pipe shape?

I did not get the picture done to import but i used the center of your radius to make a polar copy over 90 degrees with a 1/4"
bit just touching the edge of the circle. I would then just measure from the bottom center of each 1/4" circle to figue out step over and depth.

Re: cutting a half pipe shape?

You can do this if you draw the end view and a side view of the bit you want to use. Move it around to touch the edge at different depths and record the point depth and distance from the edge for each location. You just create lines in the top view of the program offset the distance from the egde th...

Re: Marbles - Hole depth

Keith,
I you just drill then .25 will give you a 1/2" dia. hole (max for bit) but if you profile cut on a .1" dia circle with .0995" depth it will still give you a 1/2" dia. hole. If you need more help just let me know.

Re: TurboCad and Cut2D

No need to buy a file converter. Just get doublecad XT or Draftsight for free. I just installed Draftsight and it is just like AutoCAD. Doublecad is by IMSI (turbocad) & Draftsight is by Dassault (Solid edge?)

Re: Printing designs

doublecad xt is a full blown cad program for free and is a great program even if you use it just to convert files. It is made by IMSI = (turbocad)

Re: Another feed and speed question

I kind of figured I would be experimenting on these. I will post what I finally did use. Does anyone have a pass depth tha is feasable. I was thinking 3/4" of an inch for the half inch bit. Could I go more.

Re: Dust Collection Hose

I use the 3" for my router. I have tried the 4" but it would colapse on itself. another type that I plan on trying is the waste disposal hose for RV's. It is heavier than the dryer vent and it is still 3".

Down to minus twenty our kids will go outside on the outdoor rinks and play hockey for hours. (I watch from a window or just get the hot chocolate ready when they come in:>)

Re: PDF Import problem

Get a free program like pdfcreator then open the file you want to break apart in adobe, and print it to pdfcreator just like you would send it to your regular printer for each individual page that you want. You can make it a 1, 2 or however many page document you want this way.
