Where did ny fonts go

Where did my fonts go? They were there a couple of weeks ago. Now the list (see screenshot) is populated by a few fonts each followed by 1l, 2l 3l, 4l which seems to mean one line, etc. The microsoft font folder seems to have a full font of fonts. What gives? Aspire 10.509.

Re: WHowe to search the manual

Thanks Adrian and Randall. Clicking the icon worked. I have yet to adapt to not having a manual my lap.

Re: WHowe to search the manual

Specifically I was looking for some specific info on text spacing/kerning. I have cussed and screamed my way past my immediate need but this has always frustrated me. I have scrolled down the page that Randall posted before and if I am looking for something listed in the table of contents — great. I...

How to search the manual

How can I search help and/or the manual? I can access both but can never find a search function.

Re: Shelf pin holes along a curved path?

I actually had this problem a year ago and did it as Mike described. As with most situations trying to come up with an elegant and efficient method took much more time than just finally jumping into the inelegant and inefficient method.

Re: Aspire under Parallels on Macbook Pro

I have run Aspire on a Mac with Parallells since Aspire began. You can save files to either the Mac or Windows side. I have an alias of my Windows folder with my Aspire files on the sidebar on Finder Windows.

Re: inlaid golf ball

If I understand correctly you want to mount a golf ball so that half of it is proud. If the plaque hangs on a wall, why can’t you simply cut a pocket of the correct diameter and depth and secure it in a dab of construction adhesive. It will look the same as a dish when mounted.

Re: Can I set Safe-Z differently on different toolpaths?

Yes the groups would recalculate but you could save the appropriate tool paths after every change and the groups would just help to keep it straight even you have to later recalculate.

Re: Can I set Safe-Z differently on different toolpaths?

You could make tool path groups named by the "safe z" to help keep it straight.

It might be more of a nightmare than a solution but you could, after you have finished the design, do a "Save As" and create a duplicate file or files with different tool path parameters.

Re: V Grove Fold joint

I think that there are different definitions floating through this thread. A folding miter joint refers to a cnc process where the material, usually plywood is cut with a 90º or, as someone mentioned, a 91º bit. The bit is programed as Russell describes with a line down the middle of the cut and the...

Re: Inlays Problem

I don't think that it is a clamping problem. Look at the inner part of the "d" and you can see that it touches at a point in the bottom and has gaps on both sides. A clamping issue would not, I don't think, behave like that. Have you recut this? If you have/do and it still presents like your photo m...
