Re: Wood for boat sign recommendations

Re: Scott inspired me
A lot of this stuff is just for people reading this and contemplating. Yep that's me! Definitely gave me some food for thought with this post....offset strategy and rastering across grain are two paths I haven't tried yet. Looking forward to comparing the results and cut times versus rastering with...

Created a vector to separate the body from the fins and ran a profile toolpath in the maple and osage. Then glued up intarsia style. Pic is after planing to .3" thickness.

Maple and Osage Orange.
Was able to capture a very small knot in the eye. Been 48hrs and the Osage is surprisingly stable.

Re: Laguna Swift/RichAUTO A18E controller
I have a copy of the .pkg file for the firmware that is on my HHC if that is something you would be interested in. Uncharted territory for me so have no idea if it would be compatible for your machine.

This is one I did in Corian back in August 2015. The cuts are darkened with black gel stain. CarveOne This is a great and goodly carve :D :D . Exceptionally accurate. Did you create the vectors for this yourself? Not trying to hijack this thread but had to comment as I'm a huge fan of everything th...
