Company logo sign for a friend
I got a request from an old friend of mine that had started a company, he wanted the company logo carved on a piece of wood. I looked in my scrap pile and found a large slab of beech, about 300 mm wide, 520 mm long and 60 mm thick (11,8 x 20,4 x 2,3 inches). The slab was from a tree that went down i...

Re: Bug Report
You should not rename a file that is open. Close the file, rename it, open the file. Windows should detect that the file is in use and should not allow it to be renamed. I think it is a race between Windows and Vectric software, or that there is a hidden window warning about a file in use. Scroll th...

Re: Opening a PDF of a Drawing
They are in PBM format (Portable Bitmap Image). And you need to convert them to bmp or jpg. And you still need to trace the lines to vectors. If you want, I can convert them to bmp or tiff, but they are huge so I need to send a link to you for download, I *think* it is OK as I understand the these i...

Re: Opening a PDF of a Drawing
I extracted the two images from the PDF, they are massive:
17836 x 11705 Pixels (208.77 MPixels) (1.52) - page 1
17760 x 11641 Pixels (206.74 MPixels) (1.52) - page 2
And they are stored in PBM-format, not a format supported by the software.

Re: Opening a PDF of a Drawing
The PDF contains two images, there are no vectors in it.
You need to find a vector based drawing of the P51 Mustang instead.

My make of Todds Christmas Countdown Project
I made the Christmas Countdown Project yesterday. Material used was scrap from an old teak table. The pen stand was from a deck plank that I had in the shop, it is also teak, but darker and really hard. I just painted the snow on the roof, the reindeers nose and scarf, when that was dried I oiled th...

Re: Changing vectors color?
Separate your vectors in layers and change color for the layer, that is how I do it.
