'tis indeed. Thank you.
Should RTFM, I guess.

VCP suggestions
Now, this may have been done but I couldn't find anything in the search function. How about a thread of suggestions for future VCP functions? 1. Ability to pan in the 3D View 2. Ability to highlight an/or group tools used in a given job within the tool database 3. Pre-process check on matching tools...

Re: Offline files
Adrian,
That seems to work exactly how I want. Thanks.
Just need to go offline to make sure that the offline files sync won't bitch about the file type but so-far, so-good!
Steve.

Re: Offline files
Scott,
Thanks for replying.
DropBox is a thought but I want two different machines to access the file, which means I need to be able to point VCP at the folder and I can't see where to do this (unless it is a registry thing).
Steve.

Offline files
I use VCP on my laptop when away from the machine to do my design work and when I return I use another computer to run the jobs.
My laptop uses offline files for a lot of my data but is it possible to specify a central folder for things like the tool database and have this sync automatically?

Re: trouble with laminates
Thanks for answering. The work piece is not lifting, of this I am confident. I am using a vacuum fixture with an area of an A4 sheet and I suspect at least an 80% vacuum. I guess it is a PBKAC... (Problem between keyboard and chair). :? I figured it would mean an extra tool, I was just hoping to avo...

trouble with laminates
I realise this is a software forum but I don't know where my problem lies. I am using a Rowmark two-ply laminate 0.75mm thick and trying to combine engraving and profiling with two tools and four tool paths; two of which are engraving and two for profile. The engraving is being done with a 60 degree...

Re: Unable to export multiple tool toolpaths
Errol,
My system is working with tool-changes now. WinPC-NC brings up a dialogue to advise me to change tool and which tool to use. Once acknowledged the unit goes tothe tool-length measurement and then starts the next phase.
Chuffed, I am!

Re: CAD with VCarve? Why?
I use CorelDraw as I am very familiar with it and I can easily share what I do with printer companies etc.
I also use DesignCAD as I can share with some subbies I use.
If I have something simple and quick that is not going anywhere but to my machine then I would probably use the tools in VCarve.

Re: Close versus Join vectors?
Thanks Jim.
I will get my head around this, honest.
Actually, I think the s/w is brilliant... Just need to learn to think like an engraver rather than an electronics engineer/salesman!

Re: Close versus Join vectors?
Okay, I tried the simulation with the vcarve process and found things to be along the right track, but stringy. Could it be that I need a wider included angle in my bit? I just tried it with a 90° bit and it was better. A 120° bit looked just right. Does anyone work with the coloured laminate (Rowma...
