Re: What I'd Like To See In Vcarve 8
MY TWO CENTS WORTH ON WHAT I'D LIKE TO SEE: When in the view mode, I'd like to move around the graphic when it's enlarged. I can make it larger to see details but when I do I can't go up or down or left or right. When using the "Straight Line Vector Drawing" icon you have to select it every time you...

Re: Router - Pros and Cons
Take a look at a "Kress FME 800". I went through two Porter Cable routers and gave up. Kress is well built and has a ton of power/torque to make deep cuts.

Re: CNC router
I have had my MultiCam Router for about 15 years. It's still chugging along and is very RIGID. They are made in the USA in Texas. The only major change I made was to update my software to Vectric. Chek them out on the web.

Re: Inches Ruler
I misstated my last answer. I did not mean metric equivalent, but fraction equivalent.

Re: Inches Ruler
I buy lumber in the US that is cut to inches and fractions of an inch. When I lay a plaque out in VC Pro I like to see the exact dimension without having to figure out the metric equivalent. This is the only program I own that doesn't allow me to do this.

Is there a way to change the "Inch Ruler" guide from 10th units to 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, etc??

Re: MULTIPLE CLEARING BITS
I have attached a pic of a plaque I made. I used the v bit and an 1/8 inch mill bit. On larger plaques I still need the detail of the 1/8 mill bit around the main objects but would like to "hog" out the larger backgrounds with a 1/4 inch mill bit. BUT . . . . . . I don't want to have to run the 1/8 ...

Multiple Clearing Bits
I'm sure I have seen how to do this somewhere before . . . . . . . I want to make a plaque using a VCarve bit and "two" clearing bits to clean out the background. When I select the VCarve feature it only gives you a choice for one clearing tool. How do I enable the use of two clearing tools to speed...

Re: Sloooooow Machine Routing
Don't know I f anyone else had this problem using "Multi-Cam PLT inch" post processor but I had to go into VCarve Pro 7 and make the same changes. I would have thought this error be corrected. Once change is made, all works fine.

PROBLEM WITH VC7.0 - TOOLPATHS
I am including a file on a plaque I'm working on. For what-ever reason, VC7 does not want to "climb" or route all of the closed vectors. I did the same drawing in VC6.5 and it works perfectly. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Vectors From Bmp File
I do alot of line drawing in various programs and save the to a bmp file to vectorize. My question is: Is there any way to set the vectorizing to follow the center of a line. All my attempts in VCP always vectorize both the inside and outside of a line drawing no matter how fine the line is. A real ...
