Re: can this be drawn in Aspire
This is what I have so far. Trying to get the block that is the headstock to taper down to meet the 1 inch neck. Graham Hi Graham, Perhaps this guitar neck Vectric video tutorial will be helpful: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zTAhaGhblDw&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.vectric.com%2F&featur...

Re: Bitmap fitting

When I import that new scan and then select "polyline" to try to draw around a stone, the image goes all pale- so pale that I can't make out the edges anymore. What is that about? Hi, You can adjust the amount of Fade by selecting your bitmap, t...

Lou,
You can download the Aspire TRIAL version, if you want to test the technique on your face models before committing to an upgrade.

Re: Can you reduce a 3d face down to low relief and keep the proportions ratios?
Hi Lou,
Here is a PDF describing a nice technique that retains detail when reducing model height/thickness…but it does require Aspire.
Anyway, here is the link to the PDF:

If you have a dedicated F4 key, then you do not press the Fn key (just press F4 alone)

Re: DXF import way larger than VCarve sheet
When I import a DXF file the imported outline is much larger than the sheet size defined in VCarve. I don't believe I've run into this before today. Thanks Tom https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KE4kxHxE95g&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fmarklindsaycnc.com%2F&source_ve_path=Mjg2NjY&feature=emb_logo

Hi Tex,
The project video is showing the Arc Text feature. Todd made a video awhile back and narrates that feature at around the 18:00 minute mark. Here is the link:
