There are several other ways, but this was the quickest and easiest.

Re: Job Setup Z zero position machine bed

I have several pieces of wood that I want to face to a final thickness of 2.5mm. The wood have a maximum thickness of de 3.3mm. My thought is what values I must insert in Pocket Toolpath cutting Depths, to achieve the 2.5mm thickness? I would: Create a project where the material thickness is 2.5mm ...

Re: Double-sided carve coming out offset

Currently only using two dowels.
Use 3 (or more) asymmetrically located dowels. It will solve the alignment problem.

This video explains the process.

Re: Is there a way to do this

what about the "un baking" ? Is there a way to break down the components after they are combined? No, just like you can't get the eggs and flour separated after you have baked the cake. Always save your individual components -- they become a great library resource. Then you can combine and bake if ...

Re: Chip load calculation discrepancy

It looks like the attached chart is assuming 2 flutes instead of 3 flutes. I agree. As a reminder: Chip Load = [Feed Rate]/(RPM X [Number of Flutes]) For a 2 flute bit moving at 90 inches per minute at 18,000 RPM: Chip Load = 90/(18000 X 2) = 0.00250" For a 3 flute bit moving at 90 inches per minut...

Re: Maximum Job Size Aspire?

How big do you need? You are limited to working in inches or millimeters. I just tried it with a work area of 100,000 X, 100,000 Y, and 100,000 Z inches and it was fine. That is a job size of roughly 4 cubic miles. When I tried 1 billion X, 1 billion Y, and 1 billion Z inches and began drawing it sho...

If any one has any advice on how I could get started on something like this I sure could use your advice. There is an old saying: Q: How do you eat an elephant?
