What I tend to do is press Ctrl A then J on the key board and it opens up Join Vectors and it tell you how many are open and how many are closed set a tolerance press join and all done, and the tolerance is saved for next time.

Re: End of Table Clamping Vertically
Hi Shark, Interesting you are making the "Knapp joint" I have just started cutting them, I designed a box up 2020/21 but had some down time with the machine and only just got round to cutting again, I am making it a little different in that I have radius sides fitting into the radius front and back,...

Re: Trouble CNCing imported STL
Point taken everyone to their own but I have found it better to do the work in Aspire mostly you can build it up in Aspire view in 3d and make changes if needed and no messing about with stray vectors or converting from a different program, I come from a 2D / 3D Autocad working background and I know...

Re: Trouble CNCing imported STL
Why not just draw and tool-path it in Aspire as 2d vectors?

Re: How to delete overlapping (unneded) tool paths?
There are No overlapping cuts in my layout you cut the 3 smaller first then the larger one and you can see the start point and the finish that is it, follow the arrows, but you must set your work up exactly your cutter width apart or you will get a missed side.

Re: How to delete overlapping (unneded) tool paths?
Hi Roelli, I did some stone plaques that I did not want to cut twice and this is how I did it. 1: offset your vectors out by half your cutter.(in my case it was offset 10mm 2: cut the vectors like in the images. then when you come to machine cut the smaller ends first then follow with the main ones....

"Or, is there a clever way to rotate an entire design and material setup 90 degrees. It seem awkward and prone to screwing up as I understand how to do it (in multiple steps) now." I work between two different cnc machine, my own is X left to right, so I draw in the normal screen layout but when I h...

In the UK there is trashnothing.com that covers each county, in my local today there is a chest of drawers and a 6 seater hardwood table say's in beautiful condition. Free just for collection.
You should get plenty of small to medium projects out of that.

Re: Moulding problems
You have extra vectors in there you need to delete some to get it to work.
Phill
Edit: un-group take out the extras then join the remaining into one line and you should be good to go.

Re: Centering live edge material
What I do is mark the centre line on the back and screw 3 or 4 3/8" square x 2" long strips that I can slide in a T grove down the centre of the bed this make moving a long piece down the bed easy and also you can take it off and know it goes back to mid line if needed.

Re: Anyone ever cut Limestone?
Hi SD,
Yes it is a very nice stone to cut but you need floods of water to get the best out of it, carbide is the tool to use I grind my own 3 face cutters and the finish is very good.
For some reason insert image is not working for me.

Could the vectors be Grouped? that would look like they were closed.
