Re: Thread cutting
I too have used Paul's gadget and then I took info from it and ran it on my 4 axis rotary. I have plans to make a clamp vise on my work bench utilizing a large diameter screw, just for fun. Was unable to attach my video of me spinning the nut down the thread body. That thread body is 3 inch Pitch Di...

Re: Wrapping post help
Think I solved it. It turns out that it needed the G94, I had a G93 and with this code a F value is required on each G1 line.

Re: Wrapping post help
What I'm looking to do is in my posted G-Code I need there to be a feed value on each G1 line. What's happening now is the very first G1 line it puts out a feed value but every other G1 line there is no feed value, so in mach3 when Irun a file once it gets to a G1 line without a feed value mach3 jus...

Re: Lead in's on open vectors
Have considered that, but that defeats the purpose of the function dont you think? Can you explian why it does not work? If this is what needs to be done then so be it, just seems very odd that you need to manually add vectors to accomplish. In my case on this project it is only 20 or so but it woul...

Re: How to add Cutter Compensation to Aspire Posts
According to Vectric support its not possible to add cutter compenstion (G41/G42) to any of their posts. Really makes little sense to me as its a simple code call up, its just needs to be placed before the profile engagement so it seems as though it could be applied during the lead in and out fuctio...

Re: Licenses
Thank you all for the feedback. This seems to be a sensitive issue with some..... I was just curious why we are issued 3 licenses or to able to install on 3 systems, and what you all have used them for. I thought most would install at home and shop systems which appears to be the case. I was asked b...

Licenses
What do you guys and gals do with the extra licenses that came with Aspire. Do you keep them as backups in case of a system crash, or install on home or shop computers, or give to your brother in-law? Just wondering what the rest of you have used them for.
