Like you would with stone, or brass, or acrylic (think edge lit signs) There is a 'very' small area I can try for test carving... .04 would definitely be way too deep.. That would leave only .020 and I'm thinking that would pull out t...

The top engraving layer appears to be pretty thin, and the entire material itself is only .060 thick... The idea is to cut through the white layer on top, exp...

OT - Does anyone know how this is done?

Wanted to ask this group but didn't know where else to ask it here

Is it silk screen?
Some sort of computer operated paint sprayer?
I would love to add this capability if it's affordable..

Re: Ready to cut my first guitar...

The holes are dual use on this project... I have 5/16" nuts embedded under the scarf board on a 3" x 3" grid (over 500 of them for the 4' x 8' table), with 5/16" holes drilled through the scarf board so that I can use bots for hod down cams, clips, etc. or in this case to bolt the material directly ...

Ready to cut my first guitar...

My first ever (hopefully of many) guitar build is ready to cut! Introducing the 'traveler'.. lightweight and compact for camping/traveling.... This is by far the most involved project on the software side I've ever done... Especially modeling this neck in the 3D app! Anyways, I'm finally ready to cu...

trouble downloading files

When I download the tutorials and files for the two sided 3D leaf bowl project, and then click on the download, I'm asked for permission to install the files, it lists them as V carve Pro 8 files.. When I click okay, they are installed into the Demo version of Aspire instead of VCP8.. It gives me no...

Re: Getting ready to cut my first 2 sided 3D model (a guitar

Updated VCP, hoping that would make the video show up in the help directory, but it didn't..

I don't know how to watch it then, if I can't get it to play past the first couple of minutes from the link you provided..

Thanks,
Mark

Re: Getting ready to cut my first 2 sided 3D model (a guitar

When I downloaded the video tutorial, and then clicked on it, it wanted to 'install' the tutorial.... So I let it, but the problem is, that it installed it into the Aspire Demo instead of VCP.. Is there any way I can install it into VCP so that I don't have to start up the demo version of aspire to ...
