I would use a 1/4" shank , 1/8" tapered ball nose at 12k rpm, 200ipm with a 9% stepover
Yep - that's the tool I'm using and I was thinking my stepover (12.5%) was too much.

But, 200 IPM?
You listed a tool with a 1/8” shank......I listed a 1/4” shank

Re: 3D Finish Depth of Cut

The only way would be to perform a roughing pass first.
That will reduce the material the 3D pass would has to remove.

Re: 3d Machining SURFACE ONLY

Are you able to mount you wood so that the surfaced to be machined is perpendicular to the table surface.

Re: Offset Finish Toolpath

you could draw an elipse or square - to achive what you wanted the process requires a faily symetrical boundry vector - the rubber band function generally creates smooth contours and surround the base outline in a way the system prefers. You can tweak the rubberband to reduce the area (inches square...

Re: Offset Finish Toolpath

Yes - create a more uniform boundry vector around your model.
There is a tool to do this create boundry x.x and select rubber band function

Re: Tapered End Mill as Profile Cutter Mill?

Depends on the radius of you ball end mill - if you radius is 1/16" - then you will probabbly have to cut 0.035-0.060" below the model or you will have a significant camber at the bottom of you rmodel matching the profile of you bit

Re: pdf help

Try these - I used a center line trace function so the dimensions should all be correct in relation to each piece - the actual size is for you to determine.
